For the love of travel
Travel is like oxygen for me. I love the dreaming, the planning, the anticipation, and the wonder of somewhere new. When I became a mom, I knew I wanted to create that sense of wanderlust and curiosity in my kids. Travel and “showing them the world” became one of the defining identities of our family.
As life has gotten busier and our kids have become more independent, I see how crucial vacations are for my own family’s connection. And that’s why I created Show Them the World, a travel concierge service for busy families longing to reconnect and see the world together. I want to help you create lifelong memories and “happiness anchors” your family will remember forever.

What started as a one-woman show has now blossomed into a team of travel lovers ready to help you Show Them the World! Think of us as your good friends helping you plan the vacation of your dreams. We'll laugh a lot, we'll be just as excited for your trip as you are, and we'll handle all the details so you don't have to!

Founder and Lead Advisor
Heather Vergara
Heather gave up her marketing career with Pepsico to be a mom and never found her way back to the corporate world. Instead, she focused on her passion for travel and adventure and created Show Them the World. In four years, she’s helped more than 350 families experience Hawaii, Alaska, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, Italy, France, England, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Africa, National Parks, and more to come!

Heather has an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University, an Executive Education certificate in Digital Marketing from Columbia University, and a BA in Journalism from the University of North Carolina. She lives with her husband, two kids and two furry dogs in Zionsville, Indiana.

Amanda Vetor
Amanda gave up her career as a leader in pharmaceutical sales to be a Mom but never lost sight of making an impact in the world. In fact, she met Heather when they were co-leaders of their community's annual educational fundraiser. They've admired each other's spectacular travels over the years and finally realized it was time to join forces again.
Visiting 18 countries in the last 16 years, Amanda brings the perspective that life is an adventure, and the world is meant to be explored! Amanda has created extraordinary experiences for her family and friends for years. Now it's time to bring that passion and expertise to Show Them the World and make your dreams come true!

Amanda has a BS in Selling and Sales Management from Purdue University. She lives with her husband, two kids and two crazy/sweet rescue dogs in Zionsville, Indiana. You can often find them across the U.S. either trackside watching their son chase his racing dreams or ringside watching their equestrian daughter.

Sara Jenkins
Sara left her teaching career to be a Mom and has dabbled in various jobs since then looking for a passion project that could fit into her family's life. In 2022, Show Them the World designed the Jenkins family vacation to Hawaii, an unforgettable trip that fueled Sara’s desire to see the world with her family. In fact, after that vacation, Sara got her first and only tattoo - Ohana - which means family in Hawaiian. Every time she sees it, the memories make her smile. Now Sara gets to design "tattoo-worthy" trips for all her clients!

Sara has an MA in Education from Nova Southeastern University and a BS in Education from Indiana University. Sara lives in Zionsville, Indiana with her husband and two girls. In her downtime, you can find her at the pool with her competitive swimmer or at the stables with her equestrian.

Office Manager
Kelly Smith
After 11 years in the classroom as an elementary teacher and 7 years as an office manager for two small businesses, Kelly decided to combine her passion for travel with her organizational efficiency skills. As Office Manager, Kelly will support all the "behind the scenes" work at Show Them the World, ensuring your vacations are seamless and spectacular!

Kelly received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University and her M.S.Ed from Indiana University in Educational Administration. She is passionate about spending time in the sunshine, reading good books, taking walks with friends, and, of course, her family. Kelly lives with her husband, two children, and two dogs in Zionsville, Indiana.

Elena Cramer
As Heather’s niece, Elena has been part of the Show Them the World family from the beginning. During college, Elena took the scenic route, traveling the country trying out multiple schools in Iowa, Oregon, Colorado, and Chicago. During this time, she fell in love with seeing the world, American Sign Language, and helping people.
Elena has a BA in ASL Interpretation from Columbia College Chicago. She plans to use her ASL interpreter skills and connections within the deaf community to Show Everyone the World! Elena lives in the mountains of Colorado with her fur baby, Shego, and her partner, Josh. She’s never met a stranger, has a heart of gold, and is always up for an adventure!

Digital Marketing
Amanda Vela
Amanda Vela is a “go-getter” communications and public relations professional with a background in media relations, social media marketing and content creation. Her day job is Social Media Manager for Group 1001. On the side, Amanda supports the digital marketing efforts for Show Them the World. Amanda lives in Zionsville with her husband and three kids, one of whom is a chocolate lab.
