Alaska has a lot of ground to cover and much of it can only be reached by air or boat, so prioritizing your must-see list and planning your route efficiently is critical. A popular itinerary is an Anchorage–Talkeetna–Denali land tour, then back to Anchorage (Whittier) for an Inside Passage cruise. For this itinerary, you'll need at least 10 days and several modes of transportation - cruise ship plus car/bus/train - to see even a fraction of it all.
